Station Dashboard

This page provides a concise and introductory overview of the georeferenced meteorological forecasts for the station and the temporal trends of the main microclimatic factors measured.

Weather Forecast - Dashboard

The WiForAgri platform allows each customer to set up to ten points of interest for obtaining weather forecasts. By default, the forecast data is reported for the position of the weather station. To unlock the additional service, please contact Customer Support.

The georeferenced weather forecasts for the position of each individual station are reported on the "Dashboard" page of each station.

The weather forecasts are reported, by default, in a compact format, for the next three days starting from today (today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow). For each day, the daily summary data is reported with the cumulative rainfall, the average cloud cover, the average, minimum and maximum temperatures, and the average data for wind intensity and direction.

By clicking on the compact visualization graphic (today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow), the extended visualization is activated with a frequency of forecasts every 3 hours.

Main Dashboard graph

In this section, the main parameters (temperature, humidity, wind, rain) measured by the station in the last 24 hours, 48 hours, or the last 7 days are graphed.

The time interval for data visualization can be selected through the three buttons located at the bottom left of the dashboard.

Legend of the Dashboard graph:

  • the green line represents the trend of relative humidity expressed in %;

  • the orange line represents the trend of air temperature expressed in °C;

  • the blue histograms (possibly present within the Dashboard graph) represent the individual events of rainfall (hourly data) recorded in the displayed time interval (24H, 48h, 7 days);

  • the blue histogram positioned on the right side of the Dashboard graph represents the cumulative rainfall in the selected time interval (the sum of the hourly rainfall events);

  • By placing the mouse cursor inside the Dashboard graph, at the temporal measurement instants, a summary card with the measured values is displayed;

  • At the bottom, there is possibly a section dedicated to wind:

    • gray dots indicate the absence of relevant wind;

    • the direction of any arrows indicates the wind direction;

    • the color of any arrows indicates the intensity (Km/h) of the wind according to the underlying color legend.

Cumulative indices - Dashboard

In the Dashboard page, there are three cumulative indices related to rainfall, potential evapotranspiration, and leaf wetness. These cumulative indices automatically calculate the sum (cumulative value) of millimeters of rainfall, millimeters of potentially evapotranspired water (ET0), and hours of leaf wetness. The time interval used to calculate the cumulative values can be selected through the appropriate buttons present for each individual value/graph, either for 24 hours, 48 hours, or 7 days. To perform counts on customized time intervals, use the Cumulative Indices page.

Synthetic Indices Models - Dashboard

If one or more agricultural fields have been associated with the weather station and one or more DSS Forecasting models have been activated, then three simple synthetic indices for each active DSS model are reported in the lower part of the Dashboard page for immediate reading.

The synthetic indicators related to the models displayed on the Dashboard page are also visible via the App. Typically, synthetic indicators are a three-color traffic light system:

  • GREEN --> the model indicates an absence of risk or criticality;

  • YELLOW --> the model indicates moderate risk or criticality: it is necessary to immediately consult the detailed page of the model to make the correct decision in time;

  • RED --> the model indicates high risk or criticality: it is necessary to immediately consult the detailed page of the model to take corrective action as soon as possible.

Note: synthetic indicators are designed for a quick daily consultation of the general status of the model but do not replace the detailed consultation of the specific model, which is strongly recommended every time the synthetic indicator indicates a yellow (moderate criticality) or red (high criticality) state.
